Hi all,

I recently bought a BR03 on ebay that has been split from a Start Set (29830).

It came with a little bag containing two "Cylinder Rod Protectors" one to go into each cylinder either side at the front of the Lok.

However underneath the diagram in the instruction booklet showing how to install the protectors is a picture of a curved track with the follwing written underneath - " Radius > 500 mm "

Does this mean I shouldn't install the protectors if the Lok is to be run on a radius smaller than 500mm?

Regards,

Andy

Hi, Andy!

Congratulations - you decoded the cryptic instruction booklet.
I never installed these protectors since I use R2 turnouts on my layout.
Regards
Tom

I guessed as much but it really could be stated a little clearer.

R2 is the biggest radius I've got on my little 8'x4' (2.4M x 1.2M) layout!
