At last I now know that there was a poster saying why the model was cheaper. This is the first time that this has been stated clearly on this thread.

I am totally in agreement that this should be about the topic and not about individuals. That is why everyone should post clearly and un-ambiguously, or not at all. Most of the posts that end in "" should never have been made, in my opinion.

Sorry about blowing up at L.H. in German. I have been following this thread since Cem first posted it. I have tried to suggest how he can improve his model, ie by swapping the motor and frame with a 37356 to get a functional AC model with white LEDS and still be able to sell the "Porrentruy" lok as a Trix model at a profit.
Lutz has been hinting over and over again that there is something wrong with Cem's model without explaining what it might be. He could have been straight forward and stated his observations, but he continued to allude to a problem over several posts.
I don't want to take away Cem's enthusiasm for the model. If he wants to know about what may have resulted in the model being sold as a "second", he can contact me or he can even contact Lutz.
But, until he decides to do so, it is wrong for anybody to keep hinting that there is something amiss with his model, it is not fair to him.

I apologize to all for posting in German. The message was intended for one member, but I wanted to do it in public. Here is the full English translation of that post:

"Lutz,

must you always "hint" at problems with (other people's) models? Do you wish to blunt his enthusiasm for his model due to any small defect? Why can't you just say that he received the locomotive for a good price? If you want to continue, why don't you just tell him what you noticed? Let him be happy with his model."

As far as the sale of these items... Was the sign explaining the condition of the items displayed in German only or also in other languages? Was there a sign explaining that the models were sold "As Is"?

To somebody with limited German, they might understand "Vitrinenmodell" but not the "Wackeln in Kurven" part. This warning was meant to advise that "the models were suitable for display only and not for use on a layout" and not that the models were "display models" being sold. I presume that this warning referred to the steam engine and not also to the Re 4/4II.
So, please be specific with your comments, so that they are not misinterpreted.

As far as the steam engine, Cem, it has been suggested that the
Lok may have a problem on curved tracks. Have you tested the lok? did you find any problems?

Thanks for clarifying that up Paul and Mike. As others have said, these points should have been made clear right from the start, rather than people grandstanding with innuendo and 'I know something you don't know, but I'm not telling you what it is' attitude. Such childish behaviour.

At any rate, I'm glad your models are OK Cem, and hope you get lots of enjoyment out of them.

(Bigdaddynz who is rather jealous of that Tee Re 4/4)
