This just in - another sign of further consolidation in the industry:




In the future, close cooperation between Modellspielwaren GmbH Viessmann Kibri and toy factory GmbH

Viessmann Kibri and future work in development and production of the popular products Kibri closely together. This was announced by the managers of both companies FJ Roos and W. Viessmann during a staff meeting on Kibri site Schopfloch at 28.09. known.

The two companies decide to close cooperation in the field of production and of the tool, and also in the field of development and distribution.

The Viessmann will implement immediately, and the parts of the production tooling for the products of the brand 'Kibri' in their factories in Hungary and Romania. Kibri products benefit from the experience and expertise of the Viessmann, among other things in modern plastic injection molding.

Over the contract manufacturing of products, it is to intensify cooperation in distribution than to provide for new developments. Both companies are known to be strong in the underlying trend in the functional models and want the sector, with joint products continue to expand.

I think it's all great. Better a cooperation or merger than out of
business. Of course, for me, the name Maerklin must never disappear.

Good news! This means Kibri will stay in business. Must say I like their buildings a lot.

Comparing both catalogues I allways thought Uhlenbrock and Viessmann would join hands. A lot of their items just have different boxes.
