I have a 33021 which I purchased used but is in perfect condition with the following exception. It is programmed into an original CS as 33021 which is recognized. The headlights work, and the fans in the condensor tender also work, but the motor does not run at all. The wheels and the motor turn smoothly with just a slight drag as they should so nothing is bound up. The wires from the tender to the engine are all connected. The entire engine shows no wear at all.
Am I missing something obvious? Any thoughts?
Thank you for any help

Hi Sounds to me like there is no power getting to the motor. Check that there are 1 Two carbon brushes present and that they are being held against the drum of the commutator correctly by their springs (These are usually two spring loaded brass wires ) 2 Check that the motor is connected to the decoder correctly. No broken wires. 3 It is possible that the decoder is damaged ( harder to check !)
Hope this is helpful |

Thank you for the suggestions. Checked all - Wheels and pick-ups are like new and clean. As for the brushes - all seems fine and all wire connections are solid. I must have moved or done something because it now works correctly, but only in reverse. Forward there is nothing, and the forward light that I used to have no longer lights. The reverse light does work. Afraid to keep moving things around much more.
Any more thoughts?
