Joined: 11/07/2004(UTC) Posts: 163 Location: Knivsta,		I am going to Friedrichshafen later this week and would be grateful for some recommendations on things to see and shops to visit! Please share! Friedrichshafen is a two hour drive from Göppingen, so perhaps a visit there would be an option!

Joined: 25/07/2001(UTC) Posts: 11,165		The Badische Anilin- und Soda Fabrik is still one of the largest chemical companies... I still remember having BASF reel & cassette tape in the early 70's... They do have a sinister historical record with their daughter company IG Farben, though, but it seems like it's all mostly "forgotten" now... IG Farben was the company who made the infamous "Zyklon B"... Sorry for this off-topic comment....

The Pfaender mountain is also worth a visit: http://www.pfaender.at/engl.html . Depending on your energy levels, either go up via cable car and walk down, or the other way round It's a wonderful part of the world; I'm sure you'll have a great time.
