Last week - from a train spotter's point of view.
Tuesday (11.09.) I took some night pictures in Troisdorf.

I like those pink RSE locos better after dark (here 311-CL 914)

UserPostedImage
RSE locos 364-CL 428 and 365 733 back to back (365 733 has a small blue light at the engineer's cab (I dunno what it's for))

UserPostedImage
Another nightly picture with 7 red signals. End of the way for pedestrians, no trains going tonight.

UserPostedImage
The other direction - only 3 red signals and the exit.

110 243 at Cologne Central Station.

UserPostedImage
Was looking for a new place to take photos on Friday and saw 143 114.

UserPostedImage
Something green on Saturday: 437023 heading to Cologne.

UserPostedImage
This place is really green (at least until the harvester comes).

No train ...
This Zero-G plane allows scientist and astronauts to experience zero gravitity - at least for 22 seconds ...

Yet another place, some green here (111 129 going to Cologne).

UserPostedImage
Something green again: 145-CL 003 with another 145 coming from Cologne.

UserPostedImage
On Montag (17.09.07): BR 628 just crosses the river Rhine and will enter Cologne Central Station in a few seconds.

UserPostedImage
Tuesday (18.09.07): 101 016 driving from Cologne West towards Central Station.

Nothing special, but a variety of different classes.
I hope you like it ...
Regards
Tom

Great pictures, you make me wish I was there. We had a two week holiday in Germany in August, I just did not want to go home!

What was 110 243 doing there and what is the reason for the special livery?

Cheers,

Peter.

It's on tour in Germany with 4 red cars advertising heat pumps. The platform at Cologne Central station was so short there was only place for 2 cars ...

I didn't take a close look though I was standing right in front of it.
I think it's sugar beet, or maybe some other beet that'll be fed to cattle during winter. I think sugar beet is more likely.
