I am trying to recall what the item number was for the only electric locomotive released by Marklin where the pantograph could be controlled digitally.

If memory serves me right, the colour scheme was red and cream.

Would anyone know what the number is?

Thanks
Matthew

If my memory is correct, they also released a model of the BR 152 with the same piezo motor technology a year later. They also released a WRmz13X for the Suedwind Set with digital panto and sounds.

This year, Roco has a Set which includes a E 10 with operating pantographs and 3 UIC-X Coaches with digitally controlled doors and sounds.

There are quite a few other electric locomotives from Marklin that have functioning pantographs.
Theres a few class 152 with them, for example #39354.
As for the red/cream electric, that was the BR103.1 2003 insider model that Hoffman said, #39579
modelling era IIIa (1951-1955) Germany

Although it may or is a wonderful model its use would be restricted unless you have an overhead system or your loco collection has reached a point whereas it does'nt matter what type of loco you purchase.

And this sometimes goes for special trains, e.g. Northlander, Grey mouse, Senator, TEE express etc. etc.
Your capacity of interchanging them with other rollingstock is "0".

Apologies for resurrecting an old-ish thread, Blushing however, in light of some other 'discussions', a couple of question have arisen in my own (albeit analog) mind:

Since a decade has passed, oh my OhMyGod ...:

1. Were/Are there a lot of e-loks with digital ops for the pantos? (Again apologies for I do not follow the digital realm as closely as I should, and I did "search" for 'digital panto' and this is the only one that came up)

2. Was it an either/or command or could they be raised to just under the catenary? (Just asking, not wanting to raise that spectre here) i. e. How much control did the operator have?

3. How reliable are/were the piezo-motors?

4. Have the motors changed with all the ever-advancing technology changes at Mother M?

Or perhaps there is a thread that is here that I missed? Unsure

Thanks in advance for helping this poor, digitally-challenged old...um...guy! yes that's it...guy RollEyes
