....Well, this picture looks "strange" to me . As itself doesn't proove seriously the nature of problem and needs more investigation... (I 'm just wondering why this picture apppears while Marklin is launching on the market some Scale 1 items at veeeery very interesting price coming from reduction of stocks....Chance or coincidence ? ... ) Anyway, in case of true zincpest phenomenon , I hope the next buyer of Marklin will undertand that partnership with some subcontractors ( Chinese and others... ) should be taken into consideration very closely. There is one thing i'm sure about : This (zincpest) never happens with products or parts coming from Marklin's foundry in Germany .

correct me if i'm wrong but,for the old HO models, didn't "zinkpest" occur many years later? Could there be another explanation for these worrying changes shown.

I'm with Geoff - that's no zinkpest. Looks like a bad finish (enamel, powder coating) to me ... |

Lets guess they're about to get rid of their bad stock [xx(] While we are at "coincidences" - dealer told me if he wanna get a Spur1 Croco he must order that "stock clearing" bundle (10 locos). The above V60 included. Of course [}:)][}:)][}:)] Clever guy, this Mr Pluta. Perhaps a bit too clever. Well, who's the schmuck - now ... |
