Now just got one eye working is it possible to enlarge the size of the mouse pointer in the CS3.

Hi David
I think the pointer cannot be changed but the screen may be duplicated on a PC with a large screen, using RealVNC Viewer (free on the internet)
Another way - but I am not sure it increases the size of the pointer - is to connect your CS3 to a PC with a simple CAT5 cable (or a router / TV Box) and typing on your browser the IP address the CS3 has been set with (I use in manual 192.168.1.15)
One last possibility is to procure a fresnel magnifier a few cm above the CS3 screen to enlarge the view

As usual Jean provided you with a number of options. I have accessed my CS3 and others with an iPad and a pc. Of the two the pc method will probably best meet your needs but the best way, to me, is through wifi. That requires purchasing a cheap router - mine came from Walmart and was less than $30.00. You need to hook it up as a wifi signal broadcaster and not as an internet signal repeater. Once you have done that getting the signal on another device is simple and you can be given the instructions.

Thanks guys. I dont want a monitor taking up more room on the layout desk and my PC is in another room. At present my one eye does enough to keep me going but thought I might be able to set up the mouse on the PC with a larger pointer then place on the CS3 but of course did not work.


Jean. My Wife is the rugby fan and will be watching I am cricket and football (Glasgow Rangers)

Hi I have AMD which destroys the central vision so magnification does not help. One eye has cataract and they cant risk sorting that as long as I still have reasonable vision with that. I did think the mouse pointer was rather small but probably ok for most. I just keep going but I do know there will be a time when watching tv reading etc will not be possible and that will include the railway. I get new glasses on a regular basis to help with the mone reasonable eye. I am 84 so just happy I can still play with trains

I was looking into this as well since my eyes are kinda iffy. My work around was an older laptop I had laying around. I set it up right next to my central station. With the laptop you can adjust screen size and mouse pointer size at ease.
I don't believe there is a way to change the mouse pointer size on the central station alone.

I have a PC in another room but have an ipad but I presume there is no connection from the CS3 to an ipad.
