Good afternoon to everybody,

I have a Borsig Loco 37022 and when I try to load it into the CS3, the console cannot find it and assigns another similar one, losing almost all of its functions.

I've manually checked the database and it's indeed not there. Does anyone know why Märklin didn't consider that model to be in the database?

I have CS3 with the latest update.

Thanks in advance

It is mfx. Do you have that feature turned on? Have you registered other mfx locos? Should register automatically.

According to the manual it is manufactured with the address of 53 though that might be MM as it does not say. And that is assuming it has not been changed.

53 will be the default MM address, although, as you note that may have been changed. However it is listed as having an mfx decoder and so it should automatically register on the cs, but the mfx feature may have been turned off in the decoder if a later model decoder has been fitted. This cannot be done if it still has the factory fitted decoder.

mfx locos are never in the database.
mfx locos register with the functions set in the decoder. A previous owner may have changed the functions - or maybe even replaced the decoder.

Tom
