I just have insomnia! Don't be mean!

I should also note - I would be a guaranteed buy for a more traditional Class A1 or A3, but only if it was 4477 / 507 / 108 (and preferably A1 no. 507 in wartime black).

There we have it!

I found the entry in CS3 for the golden Big Boy a few years ago. Now I need to save some money for this. It's gonna be interesting to see the price.

Yes, the decoder project for the 39400 was released back in January 2023, so a strange one.

Nothing too exciting for me this year. The Start-Up crane is now + van with corresponding price increase and in yellow; New livery is nice, but I'd rather have kept a lower price point than a van - not that it REALLY matters to me as I bought two last year and hopefully never need another. :D

Nothing even tangentially British (like a tunnel rated wagon or something) except a Class 66 in a non-British livery; well, I wasn't expecting anything different, so no shock there. Some of the British H0 crew will be sad they don't get their 2004 Apple Green LNER 4472 livery Flying Scotsman which - fair.

Really, nothing at all of intere

Oh dear, a flatwagon with a Carson 1/87 remote control Marklin lorry and trailer. Looks to be a repaint of 500504157; so for 240eur it comes out as 100eur for the repaint and the flatwagon. Also says it includes a "wedge for truck models" according to Google Translate, which I'm assuming means "ramp". All in all a pretty fair price, and as someone who loves play value it's the most tempting "fancy" thing in the catalog.

But I'll probably end up buying the very similar 44125. That isn't remote control but comes with TWO cars, and the whole thing is only 15eur!

Plus, I bought the Playtrains version, and the myWorld version would be a good excuse to mock Hornby. That one comes with a ramp that doesn't fit the track any more, and no cars! Despite the fact that Hornby owns a toy car company.

And no 80.8mm C-Track for my Hex-TRAK concept. Sticking with LUCK it is! LOL

It’s probably time to get a new construction of the DHG 500 soon.

I think there were very few continental freight cars, most consisting of small sets of regional wagon suited to the locomotives.

Does anyone know if the Sdgkms set on page 62 is 1/87 scale?

If they now reduce their Nurnberg fare, they might be coming out with some news between summer for Dortmund RollEyes

It is a new era where Canada, Greenland (Iceland) and Norway become Swedish. LOL

Let's say this year they spotted on my steamers taste!
It's a pity the high price of the 0 gauge croc as I also like it, but at that price it is out of what I want to spend.

Hmm, not as exciting as I hoped it would be. There will be a couple of wagons I'll be looking at getting, but that is about it I think.

I'm somewhat disappointed in the number of items they are doing in conjunction with Piko though, I hope this is not a continuing trend.

Finally a V200 in Bahngruppe Yellow.

Waiting forever for this

And some other interesting items for consideration, for me this is not a bad offering.

I'm afraid I will get the tank cars with three chambers. Will hopefully look nice next to my Liliput tank cars with three chambers.
So maybe 2026 is going to be a cheap year MRR-wise.

Some had, and sometimes they were swapped around. So I hope märklin will also make a 63a model with the new tender, and also with a snow plough.

Eg like this 252 here with a small snow plough:

Interesting now the English and TRIX versions are out. "Wedge" on the flat wagon turns out to mean chocks, not ramp. Fair enough. I wonder if the next catalogue will have a 30th anniversary C-Track car loading ramp? Cool

And maybe my 80.8 straight! LOL

One small criticism - there's quite a few things that are "An Ideal Add-on from the Marklin Assortment" this year - which is; fine, it's at most 15 euros of wheels per wagon and that's assuming they're not 10.5x24.5 and I can just use Evemodel ones - but that still makes things more expensive and it's again a small reminder that TRIX is somewhat of an afterthought. The remote control lorry car is one of these, might be why it caught my eye.

I like what they did with the double pocket trailer flats more - having different variants for each brand and encouraging cross-purchase. A TRIX RC lorry and a Marklin RC lorry with the encouragement to cross-purchase would have been appealing. Especially for those with two children! Flapper

I don't have any strong opinions on their collaborations with Piko; but I hope there are more collaborations with Carson. Their 1/87 RC road vehicles are one of the coolest things in the model railway market and I want more people to discover them. A TRIX lorry next year would have me repenting for my criticisms again, and there's other cool options - a tie in with START-UP with a 44952-derived Car wagon and a Carson Beetle would be cool - and given the 74924 level crossing, the 46719/46720 DCC cranes, 72452 container terminal; START-UP would be a good home for a car loading ramp track/building piece for both the Marklin lorry car and a budget alternative. Love

Oh and - Carson sometimes do a rail-convertable MoW vehicle. I wonder if Marklin could partner with them on a "speeder" bus, like the LGB one?

Let it also be said - I may not model N but I LOVE the graffiti stuff in MiniTRIX.

Get the dealer to swap the wheel sets. This is a no-cost option if you want some of the Trix wagons.

Right, time for some prophecy ...

I figure this years Marklin Store Loco will be a Stadler, and the wagon will be the 47477 pocket wagon loaded with a pair of semitrailers labeled for Marklin Stores.

In both cases they will be on my shopping list.

I would be very surprised.
Indeed the Stadler has not officially appeared in real.
Would be strange to choose this model for the Märklin Store 2026 knowing all the other variants have not been released yet. You can’t announce a Märklin Store 2026 and deliver it in 2027. It makes no sense.

Well, there are two Stadlers in the 2026 NI, and I seem to recall there was noises about one late last year, but I think it could be the Austrian one in the 2026 NI.

It wouldn't surprise me to find that delivery of the store items squeezes right to the end of the year. The 2025 wagon kept slipping until it was eventually delivered in December.

I ordered the new BR 01 as I always wanted a striped BR 01 with dynamic smoke, so now is the time.
I like other items, specially steamers but I will wait much more to decide as I prefer to wait until know what other items will be released throughout the year.
Some tempting are the BR 80 (I already have one museum version, but this one seems to have a new motor and better looking cab interior details) and the DHG500 Gauge I.

Best regards,

Two clear favorites for me!

1- SBB Eb 3/5 Drool BigGrin What a fabulous surprise!!!
2- That rollande wagon with the RC truck, the play value on that is massive! Although the preiserlinge mortality rate is probably going to drop like a stone on everyone's layout Flapper

That was only at a glance, I'm at work and can't read the catalogue at more than a fast scan for now

Big boy pick up shoe in 24 carat gold will cost at least 100€!
Rail bus are still same design like before so no changed and still crap by change traction tyre.
V220 in yellow color are fictive.
I thought Märklin should present some digital information but no news there.
Some of the news I might perhaps get them.

Hi!

I’m looking at the BR80 here in the news prospect.
Could this possibly be a cooperation between ESU and Marklin? ESU released this model 2024..
Does anyone have inside info?

I will anyway pre-order this one for sure.

Hi!
37065? I cannot locate any item with that intem number.. You maybe mean 37046? However, it has the windows filled with motor, it cannot be retrofitted with smoke generator either, so this new 37068 must be made using different construction.. or?

According to the description on the Marklin website the Eb 3/5 only has one driven axle. I am a little leery as to its pulling power. Other than that it is a pretty little thing.

Good eye. Even the Rivarossi version (which in fairness is quite nice) has a few powered axles.

My greater fear is delivery with the terrible orange plastic roof insulators marklin has been using lately. They are unbearable to see on a modern scale model. That said, these renderings look better than that so hopefully it turns out well. I'm going to order one regardless.

Maybe it was I typo! I'll probably order one too.

I’m looking at the BR80 here in the news prospect.
Could this possibly be a cooperation between ESU and Marklin? ESU released this model 2024..
Does anyone have inside info?

I will anyway pre-order this one for sure.

Probably not?, as the ESU version has a dynamic smoke generator. And Märklin does not mention that in their description, so personally I think it is more likely that Märklin has just modified or made a new version of the old model, like eg 37068. And when you look closely, there are some other smaller differences also.
The "new" 37066 is an interesting model, and I'm perfectly happy with a conventional? smoke generator.
