Joined: 30/08/2002(UTC) Posts: 1,310		Even if I live only 20 km from Borlänge, Sweden, it wasn’t until Today I noticed that there still is a round nice railway oval around the SSAB factory (Swedish Steel Co.) there. It used to be ”Domnarvets järnverk” having more than 6,000 employees in the 1950’s producing railway rails etc. They still have some 1,700 people there, now specializing in high-strength steels. The steel is delivered daily via ”Stålpendeln” (the Steel Shuttle) from the mill in Luleå, Sweden, more than 800 km north of Borlänge. The material is still warm when it arrives, even during the Winter!
