I did visit Märklins homepage to check after loco 38600 and there is now locomotive manual to download.
To my surprise I see this loco will only have one traction tyre.
I am not sure if the loco will have same weight like the older one 37689.
Trix has not yet show up with the manual but I think two rail loco will also have one traction tyre.
Trix 25600 will arrive out November while Märklin present at December.

Hey!
I did watched a video in the Youtube and guess what?
The loco model will arrived with two traction tyres.
It seems a mistake by Märklin by show up only one traction tyre in the manual of the model.

I just got my new V60 38600 and tested it on my layout. It has many improvements compared to the old V60, both in terms of details, interior fittings and rolling characteristics. Also sound is very different than the old V60. Something however striking is the very uncommon sound of the horn in F4. It sounds almost like a shortcircuit is happening and the sound is very distorted. Strangely another V60 I tested at HMC's test layout (www.marklin.gr) produced the same strange sound. Has anybody experienced that and if this is the correct sound, does anybody know why it is coming out this way?

Hi
I have a 38600 V60 loco
- 2 traction tires
- energy-storing unit adjusted to 5 seconds but this is adjustable for short stop sections.
- suspended axles for excellent current pickup and pulling power (BOTH tires are in contact with the track).
- détails, sounds etc are great EXCEPT I cannot stand those horns and signals (Hupe), they are toy-like but the rest is just great

I recommend this unit
Jean
