Hello,

I just found a Youtube video (channel Die Moba Manufaktur) on layout backgrounds that maybe useful, so I share it here.
For some situations it may work well and is removeable.
Doesn't need to have the background images of that manufacturer of the video as one can glue existing paper ones to flexible (maybe card) board and the principle still applies.
The entrances/exits of the tarck into the scenary is a bit strange and may make the trains look a bit like moles... :-)

The precision of these things work great until someone brings their Big Boy over for a run on your layout. Scared

Well, the magnetic attachment needs to be very strong otherwise they may indeed not keep in the right place. A possible circunvention is to use a mechanical approach that, for example has a hole and can be inserted from the top of the screw and slid down.
Also the verticality of the long screws maybe a challenge...
For smaller gauges, like N or H0e (as in the video) it probably works (if the background is not touched too much )))) ).

I very much appreciate the posting of the video but it looks overly complicated and complex and with an extreme amount of powertools... I realise that it's only made to show an example but on a small layout it would look better in the background so that more of the track and the trains can be viewed. After all we're in the hobby out of interest in looking at moving trains.

Thx to mbaretto of course.
