Hello all, I'm not highjacking the topic, but I saw a photo the other day of a Swiss train pulled by a split type RE 4/4. The locomotive was divided in half obviously for sharp curves. I've searched BLS and SBB archives and found nothing. Has anyone else seen one or know the class?

There has never been an articulated Re 4/4. The BLS had the Ae 8/8 which was pretty much a pair of their Ae 4/4 joined together. The Re 6/6 prototypes (11601/11602) were articulated, but the body's movement was minimal.
The original Hag Re 6/6 model (1972) was constructed from two partial Re 4/4II which were mounted on an articulated chassis.
