Did you switch it from pantograph current pickup to slider? Do the lights work? Does the reverser hum when given overvoltage (switching pulse)?

There must be a switch on the bottom of the locomotive between the two bogies

Hi Kristaki
Look under the loco between the bogies, there is a fiber lever for track or catenary operation.
The switch is framed in red below on the exploded view diagram

Apply some voltage to the pantograph(s) using a piece of wire to see if something comes to life.

There are two ways to power that loco. Either through the pantograph or the slider. If you select the slider just putting it on a powered three rail track should work but if power through the pantograph is selected the power that is normally provided to the center rail must go to the pantograph that can be done by removing the wire to the center rail and touching it to the pantograph with the loco on the track to complete the circuit through the outside rails.. You can also check to see if the motor is functional with a multimeter but that requires having one and knowing how to use it.
