Has anyone some good website or pages or videos where to build a good ramp for the layout some good tips also i am drawing layout on my end here and have hte wood ready to build it i never build any i saw some pages but i wonder if specialists in this here might have some good tips:)

One really good source of information is the YouTube channel from Märklin of sweden. I don’t know if he has done a video on exactly what you want, but he has a lot of very informative videos and tutorials

Hi Kristaki,

When I started my layout, the ideas in this video were helpful.


You don't have to use the prefabricated items he sells, but the principles are the same after you decide on the grade of the ramp(s) you want. I went with 2.5% to 3% on mine so I can pull somewhat longer consists, and I made sure I had room to install catenary masts underneath.
