Visiting US (south Florida) in early November. Any tips on things to see for a MRR fan? Preferably Märklin but not picky BigGrin

Depending on your itinerary, Northlandz in Old Bridge New Jersey is a giant O scale display with many bridges, etc. There is one near Hamilton Ohio just north of Cincinnati. I'm sure there are more along the way. As for shops, Micro Macro Mundo in Miami for Marklin.

As USA is a very big place, it would help to know where, other than South Florida, you will be visiting?

For shops, there are a number of places in America. In Miami, I would suggest Micro Macro Mundo (rocousa.com)

There are large shops in NJ (Euromodeltrains), in Texas (AJCKids), in Illinois (Reynaulds).

There are a number of train museums. I have been to the one in Lancaster PA area. There is a model train exhibit nearby.

Sorry, I was a little unclear in my original post, this trip takes me to the Fort Lauderdale area. I have traveled other places previously, including the museum in Lancaster, rode the old Strasburg(?) line there in the 1990's. Probably fostered my interest in US railroads, seeing the massive GG1's and other engines they had there. And a game called Rail Baron we used to play.. but now I'm going off track BigGrin

I plan to visit Micro Macro Mundo for sure. But any info on layouts or clubs that the area is welcome.

In addition to MMM, there is Discount Trains in Fort Lauderdale. I don't know how much Maerklin they stock.

I don't think that Miami Trains is still active. I had not shopped with them since around 2010.
The Hag specialized shop in Fort Myers has not been around since around 2003
I have never been to the Gold Coast Railroad Museum in Miami.

A ride on the Brightline in the Fort Lauderdale area may be of interest to a European tourist to see the USA Sprinters in action.
