My CS3 is at the current version, 2.5.2 (6) but the MS2 is at 4.15 and the WMS is at 4.27. My CS3 is connected to the internet and the CS3 shows both of the MS’s with a green dot meaning they are at the latest SW versions which is incorrect. How do I get them updated to the latest SW versions, what am I missing?

I did a forced update on the CS3 which did not help, even though it downloaded and reinstalled the CS3 software.

The question is why are the MS2 and the wireless MS showing green checkmarks on the CS3 for both of the MS’s above when the MS2 is at 4.15 and the WMS is at 4.27.0.13? Those software version numbers are shown on both the CS3 and on the MS’s themselves. Any ideas how can I get them updated to the latest version with my CS3?

If your CS3 is connected to the internet by an ethernet cable why did you have to do a forced update? I updated my CS3+ which is connected to the internet without my MS2 connected and a couple of days later connected the MS2 and turned on the CS3 and it showed an update for the MS2. Is your CS3 showing both MS connected?

I did the forced update just to reload the current version to make sure I had a clean software load. Yes, the CS3 show both MS’s connected and it does not show any updates available for them even though there are.

Problem resolved. First I figured out to update the MS WLAN controller without the CS3. Simply go to the ip address of the MS WLAN in a browser window. A screen pops up and you can select “Firmware update”. So I am at the current software version now and the CS3 reflects that version correctly.

Next afterI got the MS WAN updated without using the CS3, I kept playing with the settings on the CS3. I selected the "system" settings (even though there was no red dot showing) and went down and clicked on the "Device and Software Information" tab. It brough up all the info on the CS3 including hardware version, software version etc. At the top of the page, I clicked on the CS3 icon and it brought up a download icon on the right side of the page. I clicked that and it searched online and came back and told me there were 6 updates available for the CS3 and the date of those updates (see below);

lokicons 8-21-2025
spieleweit 8-29-2025
busgerate 8-26-20256
decoder 7-21-2025
bilder 12-15-2022
ansgen 12-15-2021

(interesting to note that two of the updates were dated from 2022 and 2021)

So I clicked on the START button to update the CS3. It took about 6 minutes to download everything and install it. Then I clicked OK button and the CS3 rebooted. As soon as it came up I had a red dot showing on the system icon and it was for the MS2 update. Went ahead and did the update for the MS2 which is now at version 5.3.

Not sure why it took all of this to get everything updated but I am glad it is done. I had no idea that there were any updates for my CS3 that was already at 2.5.2(6) but there were six of them.
