I checked online and also the official documentation and still I'm unable to open it up?
and one more question, I see it has a fx decoder, with 3 functions , what does F4 do?

Hi Adrian
The first image you posted is clear:
you need to bend slightly outwards the body before pulling it up.
The easiest way is to gently insert toothpicks between the body and the Zamak frame at location designated by the four arrows.
Usually one mm is enough to unlatch the plastic body.
Cheers
Jean

Dear Adrian -

The manual says, “Function (f4) is used to minimise the acceleration / braking delay to facilitate shunting the train.”

This means that the delays used by the decoder for smooth, realistic operation are turned off while F4 is active.

Yes, have the loco separate from any cars. Hold it upside down. There is a seam between the base and the sides. You can carefully separate the two and insert something to keel them apart. I use index cards. Once you have both sides separated from the base it is usually easy to lift the top off of the base. If there is resistance it usually means you have not accomplished separation at all the points.
