Well! The never-ending quest for the most cost-effective solution to digitally control turnouts has unearthed a new and exciting product - Decoderwerk 30802 Turnout/Uncoupler Accessory Decoder.

Decoderwerk 30802 Accessory Decoder

German made and costing only $50, the decoder operates up to 8 turnouts/uncouplers, such as Marklin, Fleischmann and others.
I am keeping score, and this unit provides digital control at only $6.25 per turnout/uncoupler motor!

Here is a video review of Decoderwerk 30802

Decoder is in stock and can be purchased here.

Hello,

If one is looking for the "most cost-effective" way to control digital turnouts/accessories, there is always the option of using Arduinos. An Arduino clone is around $20 and can control up to 16 items -- quite a bargain (I think).

Just my 2-cents. Cheers,

Andry
