Just got another croc, like the other one broken wire inside ,no front light. Just ordered a 0.12mm soldering tip but need to find the right wire. Suggestions please. (did think of breaking down thicker wires then shrink wrap strands, wiring from old computer, etc etc. nothing appears in my pea brain to fit the bill)
Thanks
Chas

As well as the small tip for the soldering iron, it might be worth getting some thin solder too.

Hello Chas, I have used Decoder wire for things like this. The ESU wire is very thin but also quite strong. Try a search on Ebay for ESU Decoder wire.
Or pre wired decoder sockets are easily available and very cheap. You don't need the socket but they come with eight fine wires of reasonable length in different colours which are very useful.

Marklin HO using M track. Now reverted to analogue as I find it has more character and is more fun...... and I understand it!

Brawa do wire suitable for decoder wiring in both 0.14mm and 0.25mm cross section, with at least 10 insulation colours. Viessmann and Marklin also have suitable wire.

I suspect whichever European source you use for these fine wires it is made by Brawa, who have a wire factory.
