Hello,

I've recently purchased a couple of Märklin 76393 main signals for my layout, which uses C-Track and a Central Station 3 (CS3). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a clear guide or video that explains how to properly set up and program these signals. I've tried following the included manual, but I'm still uncertain about assigning addresses and integrating the signals into my digital system.

Is there anyone here with experience setting up Märklin 76393 signals with a CS3 and C-Track? I'm specifically interested in:

How to correctly connect the signal to the CS3.

Step-by-step instructions for programming the signal's address.

Any assistance, guidance, or references to helpful resources would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,
Thorben

Hello Thorben
These signals were released in 2003 and their key features were:
- they were made of TWO key modules. ONE a flat decoder (including a relay, a decoder and multiple connectors) to be plugged under a C Track and TWO a signal with its mast, coloured targets and a 2 cable wire to be linked to the decoder
- special packing with a JUMPER to be in program mode
- the signals were MM2-capable

The manual is here
https://static.maerklin....986852fcd91434542431.pdf

Usually when in its box:
- a pair of cables is easy to exctract (red and brown) and they are made to connect the digital signal
- a said before, the decoder is installed in a cavity of the packing with a JUMPER
- the idea is to connect the 2 wires to the CS3 and turn ON the power. The signal is now in programming mode (it blinks with different colours)
- to program it, you must beforehand have selected on the CS3 the address and the signal type (3-way luminous main signal in your case). The CS3 must be idle (not running ANY commands to a loco or an accessory)
Look at page 8 on the manual for details
- the signal occupies 2 addresses and the programming will be made IF AFTER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AFTER THE POWER ON, you have pressed the key for green an d for orange
As soon as the signal is out of its box it is NOT in programming mode anymore

When this is finished, you may remove the decoder out of its packing and jumper and the signal is ready to use.
Here is a video of a 76393 signal and its programming using an MS2

Cheers
Jean
