Z-scale, 8914 Tower mast - Purpose of notch on underside

Joined: 22/07/2022(UTC) Posts: 62 Location: New South Wales, Sydney		Perplexed what this notch on the underside is for. It's only on one side, not the other. Looks like it's meant for something to slide/fit into. ~2.3mm wide x 0.9mm high There is no mention/reference to this that I can find in Märklin articles. For Zed-ies: any ideas ?
