Hi everyone! While going through my grandfather's collection, I've found 2x Marklin 43991's. I tried doing a bit of research about the model and its real life counter part, but have come up empty handed. This particular model intrigued me as it has red crosses on the sides and it got me wondering on what it was used for. Were these converted to some kind of medical transport car? What kind of train would pull these cars? Military transport trains?

Yes I saw that page on the Marklin website, I was just curious if anyone knew what they meant by "auxiliary operation"

My translation says "relief operations" so for areas needing emergency medical services maybe.
