Hi guys.
I have just acquired V200, model no. 37803. It works well except one thing. I can't change a sound volume and it is very loud at the moment. I operate it from MS2. Any ideas?
Cheers

Open the loco, then use a small screwdriver to turn one of the pots CCW to reduce the sound volume.

Regards
Tom

I'm sure how it's done with the original decoder.
You didn't mention it was upgraded.
Looks like an ESU decoder.

I didn't know it was upgraded until now. So this one isn't original M decoder then?

The decoder on the picture is not the original decoder. But it may still be connected to the original sound board (with a pot for volume).

Ok then, full picture is like this.

So, if this one isn't M but ESU, how can I change a volume of it? Also Acceleration and Braking is very slow reaction. I wanted to change it as well but can't. It just doesn't remember those settings. I can only change an address and that is it.

I think what Tom is asking you is if there is another small board under the decoder that is the sound module with the volume pot. If not, being an older ESU decoder , there may not be much you can do with an MS2.

Hmm, I don't think there is. It was attached by a sticker to a plastic base but I will check it later. Unfortunately I wont find out until next week as I'm away now until 10th. But I will let you know. Cheers
