Hello guys,
Can you please provide answers to my following questions:
1) what is the Best power supply for marklin 60216 cs3 plus for a 7mx2m layout
2) it is possible to run this device on M ( metal ) tracks ?

1) what is the Best power supply for marklin 60216 cs3 plus for a 7mx2m layout
The needed power depends on the number of trains you plan to have on the layout.
On my layout I use a Märklin 60101 (100W) as I have 28 locos on the HO layout
A smaller layout would require a 60151
2) it is possible to run this device on M ( metal ) tracks ?
Perfectly, no problem. What counts is the shape of the rails and their joiners. I have recent M track were you could barely see where their join.
Some restrictions with M Track
- very old M track turnouts have large lanterns that are incompatible with recent passenger cars
- there are restrictions on contact tracks. M track offers only slider-operated tracks or one-rail contact track (5106, 5107) and NOT long detection streches. So some CS3 automatisms would be restricted.

Jean Thank You Jean, I was also looking at 60101 100w but i was affraid to destroy my locos. I want to know If î5s ok to run 1-2 locomotives without burning them with 60101, i can add more than 1 but just to be sure IT will work with limited number of locos without making any damage.

I use the 60101 since 2012 or so. The current protection of the CS3 or CS2 is so good that as soon as something wrong is detected, the current is hashed so no destruction are visible in my case. Of course the voltage is regulated so running one or two locos does creates any problem It saved me the obligation to have boosters so my 28 loco (recent ones I admit) need approx 3.7 A or so with plenty of lighted cars. I avoid using the smoking units (count approx 150 mA per unit It must be noted that the signal switches are sized for 2 A but I don't use them as I use Rocrail (no insulated stop sections needed). Märklin has announced the 60151 power supply that will be available this year.
An extract of Märklin text (today) about it:
"This is a switched mode power pack for connections to and for powering the 60216, 60226 Central Station as well as the 60214/60215 Central Station and the 60175 and 60174 Booster. Input 220 to 240 volts. Output 19 volts (only Japan and Australia) or 22 volts / 110 watts DC voltage."
I will buy this one, but I have to wait...

For a small layout like that a 60W power supply will be quite adequate. IIRC 60041 is the catalogue number.

I'm asking all these as someone is selling a package cs3 plus with 60101 - 100v, at a really good price- 400 euro. What i'm afraid is that will be too much power and will damage my locos.
Can I also use this setup with 60101 for minimal setups 3-4 straight track lines without making any damage, in esential to use one loco?
Basicaly, i'm asking If i can use this package for any layout, even minimal setups

It is more power than you need, Adrian, but it won't hurt anything. The volt output is the same it just has more watts or capacity. I got one for a good price too.
I use it to power my CS3+ which isn't even connected to the track. I isolated the Central Stations with boosters.
