Hi,
I'm currently building a new layout and I'm looking into getting signals, I've actually never gotten to that point with my previous construction attempts so never gave it much thought. At one point I would not have considered anything but Viessmann signals but Marklin signals have come a long way so I'm not entirely sure if it's still worth going with Viessmann or if Marklin would be the better way to go for color light signals? I may use some semaphore signals but I'm not sure that I'd like these from Marklin cause I've seen some videos where the motion of the arms is still not as good as Viessmann, so I'm wondering if the videos I've seen are accurate with the arm motion not being as realistic with Marklin semaphore's?
Thanks
Mike

That's a personal choice. I have a CS 3 so I have Marklin MFX signals.

Hello Mike,
I have semaphores on my layout. I started with Viessmann many years ago because Marklin did not have anything remotely comparable at the time. Over the years, I've upgraded many of my original "click-clack" semaphores to Viessmann digital. These semaphores are really great but pricey. The programmable motion is very realistic and they are easy to install (and program). I can't make a comparison with Marklin because I don't have any of those.
For what it's worth...
