For me it is the US retro MHI items I am mainly interested in now:
Rio Grande F7: 30601 Tin plate car set: 45712 Tin plate caboose: 45713
If you could look in your glass orb for an estimated delivery time it would be much appreciated!

They have had buffer capacitors available for use with msd/3 and mld/3 decoders for several years. I'm just surprised it has taken so long for them to build them in at the factory. Maybe because their own capacitors prices are horrible.... Nope! Capacitors does not cost much in prices. I believe it cost about 5-7 euro. It depends size of the capacitors. |

An outsider. I'm looking for the owner of that horse. He's tall, blonde, he smokes a cigar, and he's a pig!

Nice new items!
As some others said, it is nice to have affordable models. Not only the selection for the MHI, which have quite competitive prices, but also the BR 003 and the BR 650. The latter will order for sure.
Also nice to have the BR 248 with telex, the way should have been since the very beginning IMO.
And of course happy to have another set for Luxembourg (with a matching set in trix).

The shops already know a aprox of the delivery date.. ask for any item and I try to say it Some items doesn't have date like 38443, 18044 or 18050 Well, the 18044 is the H0 Messe Loco for 2025, so it is likely to be Q3 based on past experience with Messe locos, but maybe they will deliver it in a similar timescale to the 18045.

The most recent version of this is the 24720 double slip I'll be getting the Class 51 and the 193 wagon set at this stage. They'll surely release the V60 in an Era IV variant later this year (I was also expecting the Class 86 in Era IV but that will surely be coming later this year too) We should do a sweapstake on delivery date slippage! My 24720 have just come into stock with my dealer, I feel like I should be waiting for the decoder and or lanterns before shipping out to NZ I have coaches from a last year release still waiting production and slipping each month it seems sadly

I know that is likely that Märklin doesn’t have the tooling required to recreate an HO model of 2816. Two different dialogues here: - The CP Empress is a massive investment in a (near) one off. If they partnered with a rapido or similar maybe, otherwise I can't see that coming even close to pencil-ing. - ES44AC: We know these are broadway limited toolings, so probably a case of whatever broadway can crank out for them Changing paint is easy, changing a few details is "reasonable", but a whole new tooling is a massive investment. My HO dream came true in G scale thanks to paint: The Roaring Camp Shay LGB is doing, which I spent my entire childhood begging my (wonderfully accommodating) parents to take me for a ride on. Sadly, like the CP Empress I don't see it happening in HO, even in 2 rail narrow gauge. Maybe they will do the other shay thanks to the broadway tooling, but not this one... Now I'm ranting, but speaking of shays: Broadway Limited has communicated that their Shay was delayed in order to re-engineer for tighter radius curves. I take this directly as a "we need this to work on Marklin's tighter Radii" - so that one is sounding optimistic for the medium term |

I don't think so, but the current series of ES44AC units are Heritage Livery items. Check the footnote on the announcement.

You can rest assured it will be later in the year. My budget is also tighter now that we've both retired. Only I am going to draw social security now and Medicare deducts $185 each month from it. I will also need a supplemental medical policy for the 20% and extra co pays, and prescriptions, dental and optical. My spouse will have to buy a traditional healthcare policy for 18 months in June when cobra insurance ends. Cobra coverage by last employer group policy will be my supplemental coverage until June. My spouse also needs a new hip. Wouldn't apply for disability, and didn't know soon enough to take a medical leave from work. Isurance denied another MRI because the one two years ago was only of the spine, an d pain isn't a good enough reason. So we paid the $300 up front for one. Hip is trashed fron osteo arthritis. Insurance would't deny a $40,000 a hip replacement though due to pain, just an MRI to confirm it's need??????? Is it like this in Canada, or Europe, Australia?
I like the Prussian set in brown as I have nothing like it. My only era one items are the Royal Wurtemberg cars, post wagen and the 3511 grey lady loco.

It’s been a catalog or two since they’ve done an F unit, so, glad to see it. However, already have the originals. The caboose I’ll definitely get. Do wish they would do a B unit. Steve

The first few Eurotrain models for 2025 from Marklin have been announced. Matschke has listed them at the top of the page. Other retailers also showing them for preorder. two locos, one coach and three goods wagons (including another BP heavy oil wagon, this time in white).

AC/DC - Rock N Roll Train I'm a little surprised by this locomotive and had to check the date (not the 1st of April). it will be interesting to see the full model. And AC/DC has some nice songs, but a fantasy? steam locomotive with red devil horns, well let's just say it's not for me. (and I have the 37000.001......) It will be interesting to see how well it sells, especially in these more economically harder times. I think it is positive that they try it, but perhaps they are a few years too late.

Has anyone heard any rumors as to what these might be? |

The sound comment is interesting; Märklin states it has the sound of the original Shay from Felton, California.

The sound comment is interesting; Märklin states it has the sound of the original Shay from Felton, California. Felton is near my home, and I have ridden behind that Lok. Even though I only do European, I will get this Shay. Era II, after all. Truly a must have for any collector. |

The logging wagons will be Marklins own design I think, and I still haven't worked out if the Trix set have different road numbers to the Marklin set. There seemed to be an implication in the video that this is the scase, but I haven't (yet) seen it explicitly stated anywhere.

It is written in the manual that, although the Shay can operate on R1 curves, for technical reasons it is preferable to operate on larger radius curves.
