Hope someone can help with my Marklin 55163. First of all the above mentioned loco does not have smoke/steam functions operating.
Second, the light does not operate in the loco cab. Third, the fireman in the loco cab does not move when coaling function is selected. All other functions, of which there ae many, operate as they should. Any ideas? Thanks for reading and perhaps some useful information.

My initial suspicion would be that all these functions are operated from a SUSI module, and that a plug between the decoder and the SUSI module has worked loose. It would be worth taking the body off and checking the connections between modules.

Hi Roger
Besides the excellent suggestion to verify that all connectors are in place and inspecting the wires for a possible torn-out / cut cable (e.g.: by the body when refiiting the chassis, a RESET TO FACTORY SETTING does wonders very often
