Hello all, I hope I am in the right forum here. I brought this handy connector block with me, years ago, when emigrating to Canada. I would love to use lot's of these, when connecting my "control centre" to the layout. In other words: when I need to move my "control centre" (a small table, with transfo's and switch connectors [Märklin]), these would allow me to quickly disconnect.... without disconnecting all the wires. I tried to find it out here, either in Canada or in the US. Or maybe something similar? Anyone having an idea? IF it exists, what it might be called and where I could eventually purchase it?

Try doing a search on Ebay for "Plug in Terminal Strips" or "Plug in chock block Terminal Strips". I just tried and there's load on UK Ebay so I guess there will be on others. They seem a bit pricey though. |
Marklin HO using M track. Now reverted to analogue as I find it has more character and is more fun...... and I understand it! |

Brawa 3093 is a very good suggestion! Unfortunately whereever I looked: "Out of Stock"
Thanks everyone for all the suggestions... finding the right wording helps a lot: From what I learned so far: Plug*gable) terminal block...

FWIW: all the information I gathered can be summarized: Obviously the item itself is for as far as I know available in Europe everywhere. My choices:
Brawa 3093 Carpower Monacor CPC-62 But then I got the suggestion of using the old style computer DB25 connectors: One had to solder the connections, BUT:
Financially: the CPC-62 is the most expensive on a per pole basis: between give or take $1.5CAD and $2.3CAD (depending on the deal on ebay) The other options are about the same at $1.00CAD/pole. I could not find the Brawa 3093: either not available or out of stock. The SUB DB25 seems then the better deal, since one has 25 connections at once.... Hope this helps...

Hobbylinc in Atlanta appears to have them in stock. There are also a couple on eBay from the US. Ask them to ship not using USPS (UPS, FedEx?) since Canada Post is on strike. :-(
Looks like a neat product; wish I'd known about it a couple years ago before I created my analog rats nest...!

Brian The strike is one of the reasons I will not order anything in the foreseeable future. And yes: I just checked their website... at $13.99USD, plus shipping. Too bad I didn't play with my trains, when I was still working (driving long haul), and passed Atlanta almost every month...
