Interior color of 311 Guss is very thin, even the glue on price stickers damage it. In several wagons it needs full repair. I am not familiar with air brush and mixing colors, so Acryl spray remains the only solution. But which is the closest RAL color ? Images of the paint are not natural and depend on the amount of light (Kelvin temperature) when taking picture, either with flash on in daylight. I suppose I should buy several sprays and see the closest blue-gray. Two shades of blue gray are shown but they are not even close to the original, although the image of original color depicted here is too pale due to camera flash, it is actually much darker shade (besides, Märklin did not use standard colors). Above depicted 5014 seems to be the best choice when compared to actual color, lower 5024 is too blue. (Btw. 311 shown here is not the wagon that needs repaint). Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

I dont think the interior colour is "blue". I think it is gray... The bluish tint -as I understand it- comes from mixing straight black and white without any other colour, in order to make the grey needed. |
