Location: On 1965 Märklin Boulevard just around from Roco Square
Hi, these locos with the large Cine-motor have been a bit of a pain for me, yes you can buy a conversion kit at a high price and I didn't had in mind to go down this path, the main problem was the braking distance.
My solution was to add an ESU sound decoder V 5.0 and use this decoder for headlights, cab lights, high beam and interior lights for carriages and leave the motor as it is., this meant that all the wires for lights had to be disconnected and only the wires for the motor kept as the original, the full sound for the loco was a real bonus., there are also sound decoders without motor connection

Hi
have you tried the driving boards from Mr Iten at www.rail4you.ch?
They work great, and then you can use any deco you want

The C-sine motor equipped Locos. were expensive to begin with.
