Hi,
I’ve got a used CS2 for testing. It perfectly connects to my existing Rocrail + Can Digital Bahn setup with just one wire change.
However the CS2 is full of previous owners stuff and I’d like to factory reset it. Can’t find a button for it thou… how do I do that? Google seems to be of no help, at least with english.
Also in the setup -tab, there is a wrench icon and a text ”configuration” at the low left of the screen. Also there is a button with blue arrow pointing down. Both seem to be clickable but nothing happens from them? What are those for?
The CS2 is in the latest version 4.3.0 (11)
Also the stop button is not working. Propably a contact issue… Is there a hack for this? I’ve connected MS2 to it and can start/stop with it.
Thanks!
-Eino

CS2 are not the same as CS3. I did just read the manual of the 60215 and cannot find information how to reset central station 2. I might be wrong but try to visit setup -> configuration -> ? This is so far i might think right.
Contact Märklin and ask question how to fix the problem. |

When you push the STOP button do you hear a click? There is a clear plastic piece that converts the motion of the button into pushing a microswitch that is mounted on the PCB. Based on past experience my suspicion is that the clear piece has cracked at its hinge point.

No clicking sound. Do you know if there’s a DIY fix? -Eino

In my case I managed to damage the clear piece, and sent an email to Marklin service with a photo of it to see if they could provide a replacement. They wanted me to send the cs2 in for repair, but I pointed out there wasn't much sense in going to the expense of that just for this part. They eventually sent me one free of charge. There are some photos here of where I repaired a cs2. The first photo in the linked post you can see the holes in the PCB at the bottom where the clear piece clips in (I think it is on the other side of the PCB from memory). You will need a Torx screwdriver with a longish shank to open the case, from memory it is a #5 Torx, the same as the ms2 uses. You need a screwdriver of about 40mm long IIRC as some of the screws are down quite deep holes. When opening the case the rotary knobs stay with the case and are connected with flat FPC flexible wiring. Flip the black covers on the connectors up to release these and they then pull out of the PCB connector quite easily. Putting them back afterwards can be a bit awkward, but with a bit of care it is not a problem, Just make sure the flat cable is pushed right home before pushing the latch down.

Thank kiwiAlan.
Well it looks a bit risky so I'll just let it be. The unit was in testing and I did decide to buy it for a nice 200 € price. I can use stop button on Rocrail, MS2 and RailControl Pro, so it is a minor issue for me.
What comes to factory reseting, I just clear everything manually.
