Where can one buy the light bulbs for old 1950s -60s engines? The 60000 Marklin product number and the 12V screw base light bulbs for engines do not seem to be available thru Marklin dealers anymore and are not in catalogues.

Spare parts now have six digits and have been prefixed with "E". Add 0 at the end if you have a five-digit spare part number. So E600000 it is - and they are in stock. |

Hi I recommend using their LED equivalent to be found on ebay Germany under « ms4 LED steckbirne ». They never burn They consume much less current They don’t burn the colored plastic in signals They leave your Marklin stuff unchanged Cheers Jean |

Hi John,
since Eddie asked for "engines": do the LED bulbs support the inversion tension >23V~ ? For signals, switches etc. I am 100% with you, so as for digitally commanded trains (but then, the bulbs must support higher tensions, too).

I ordered some threaded small bulbs from Grainger supply in Illinois. They fit in the br 89, but are too tight or too short to make contact with the base terminals.
