Hi,

i have Steam loco 83307. According to the information, when buying, the seller stated that: Tested and working.
Digital address 78 (delta 1)

Can I run it with Marklin Mobile Station 2? How should I define the locomotive in the station?

Thanks

Delta locomotives did not have a preselected address like modern digital ones. You had a choice of 4 addresses with the Delta controller and further options when using the 6021.
You can select 83307 from the database (if it exists). You then have to edit the locomotive and input the MM address for the number you have selected. Once that is done, your locomotive should respond to commands.

If there is no 83307 in the database, you can try 33071 to get the basics for a T18

There shouldn't be any need to edit the 83307 details on the ms2, it should already be configured with the factory set address for the loco.

Delta Locomotives allow of the user to select one of four Delta addresses or 10 additional addresses in Digital operation
The default address listed depends on the type of locomotive, as the Delta controller had indicators for steam, diesel, railcar and electric locomotive, but the locomotives were delivered in analog setting (worked as Digital MM 80)

The 83307 was factory fitted with a decoder that has solder jumpers for the address setting, so will autoswitch to analogue mode when needed. As the address setting is solder jumpers the likelihood of it being altered is small, and so is most likely to be the factory setting of 78.

I have seen one of these locos where the solder jumper has a dry joint and so would run in analogue mode but not digital. For the OP this is worth checking if you have this problem.
