Hi, So I started building the scenery for my 145 x 90cm Z-scale layout in late January this year and here’s the current progress. The front of the layout is completely undone still but will progress for a trainshow in Helsinki (Finland) in September. I have an overview video with multiple trains running and also a close-up video that I tried to edit nice. Please enjoy and let me know what you think? Please choose the highest quality on YouTube. Best regrds, Eino

Great layout, but an extremely minor issue if you can get it past Wifey without noticing. Wallpaper needs to be replaced with photographic print of better scenery!

Another wallpaper issue.
Worse than train scenery wallpaper nightmares by magnitudes!
My parents had this peacock wallpaper in their bedroom.
Many years later my better half & I were driving in the backwaters of south east France in a borrowed Fiat X1/9 from her German long term friend.
Another night in a B&B with croissants with a "bit" more butter & jam, & coffee for breakfast. Almost better than s.. , better not go there!
Anyway, on opening to door to the bedroom for the night, which I had more plans than for another ICE train purchase with a dozen carriages!
On entering the "suite", it had the same wallpaper as my parent's bedroom... at least the croissants & coffee were not off-putting in the morning like other things in the previous evening!
The French wine did somewhat remedy the situation!

If you want to keep the wall covering, you can get the Faller backdrop rolls and pin them up. We recently changed the wall paper in our dining and hearth room from a burgundy leather wash color to the textured paintable paper, from Germany no less. It resembles Venetian plaster. We painted it a light periwinkle blue shade. It tears quite easily,so care when handling it is a must. Two person job when booking it. If you use wall paper sizing before you apply paper, it removes easily.

I was thinking a roll up with a stand. I could move it to the sides or what ever camera angle I need the backdrop to be seen from.
