Can anyone help me to identify the red cable connection wire model number in the picture (marklin train set 8905S) to purchase for the main track as my set is missing it.

Hi!
Welcome to the forum.

Your picture does not show in Europe, so only few people will be able to help you.
Regards
Tom

You need a red wire and a brown wire to go from the clips of the feeder track to the corresponding outputs on the transformer. The feeder track has clips and I believe the transformer has screw terminals so any wire will do, no special connectors required. Altenately, you could purchase a new feeder track, Märklin number 8590.

Hope this helps,

Harold.

As said above, any bit of wire will do. Best that it is flexible.

If the loco hasn't been used for a long time. & it has original Marklin oil. It would have turned to wax. So you will need to clean the oil/wax out with, say lighter fuel. & re-oil it... sparingly!

Don't leave it on the track powered for too long or you will burn out the motor if the loco doesn't move, even with a bit of a heavy hand to push it.
