Bonjour,
D'avance merci.

Good morning,
for good circulation on Märklin rails, I reamed the wheels of my locomotive.
Problem, the wheel markings have faded and I no longer know their precise location.
The wheels have a difference in height of the connecting rod fixing pins.
If you have this information (exploded, photo, etc.) I am very interested in carrying out a correct reassembly.
Thanks in advance.

The wheel with the longer crankpin will be the one that takes the connecting rod to the cylinders as well as the coupling rods to the other two wheels.
The pin needs to be longer as there are two rods on it.
Looking at pictures of 298.53 on the internet this appears to the the centre set of wheels.

Marklin HO using M track. Now reverted to analogue as I find it has more character and is more fun...... and I understand it!
