We are having bad time in Western Australia, first we had floods and the railway line was interrupted, now there has been a terrible accident between 2 trucks on the only highway between the East and the West, both driers died and the highway will be closed at least for 24 hours, the trucks weren't recognizable,

I feel sorry for the truck drivers and their relatives and also sorry and alarmed about the rough climate that Australia is exposed to.
I guess that river6109 is expecting a delivery of a package by train or by truck that is now delayed.

But are road trains "real" trains...? And in that case; how can this be incorporated into the hobby? :-)

In my mind, at least, there is a difference between toy trains and model trains.

IIRC the road trains are limited by law to having 5 trailers (I'm not sure if the tray of a semi is included in the count - checking this Wikipedia page shows it is counted). At the time the law came in several decades ago some drivers were pulling seven trailers. Some of the record attempts listed on that Wikipedia page leave the mind boggling, over 1.4km long, but only towed for 100 metres or so to claim a record.
