Hi, Antonio,
The manual can be found here:
https://www.danskmodel.d...r/HSV_Trafo-t40-vejl.pdf

I don't understand everything, but it seems it does not answer all questions.
Regards
Tom

I have such a HSV Type 40 myself and I have used it since I started with modeltrains in 1965.

The HSV transformers were quite popular in Denmark, and they were also produced in Denmark.

If you look at the back of the transformer, then the lower 4 connectors is connected together. They are marked "0" and they should be connected to the Brown wires (Brun).
The leftmost upper connectors marked "B1" and "B2", are to be used for to insulated parts of the tracks, and the voltage in "B1" is controlled by the left controller and "B2" by the right controller.
The Red wires from the two parts of the tracks are connected to "B1" and "B2".
It is important the the tracks in the two parts are safely insulated.
The two red buttons above the two controllers are used to change direction for the locomotive. The two buttons will have red light when the transformer is connected to 220 Volt, if the lamp still works :-)
The voltage when changing travelling direction and when connected to 230 Volt, will be above 28 Volt AC, and will likely kill digital decoders.

The upper two connectors to the right, are made for fixed 17 Volt, and can be used to feed the motors for points/switches (Sporsk.) and lights (Lys), and is for the Yellow wires.
I have measured 17,8 Volt on these outputs when connecting to 230 Volt.

If there is an overload situation, then there is a terminal protection circuit, there will break the connection to the 230 Volt network for some (short) time.

Have fun with your HSV Type 40, but don't use it for digital locomotives.

Best regards
Per

Hello Per.

Thanks for advise. Knew it is a piece of art, didnt know how it works, now will have it as Master Piece, when installed.
althought all others transformers are Blue as dated before ´60, this will be the "transformer". Thanks again

All my locomotors, wagons, accessories and gadgets are analogs. Bit hard to work with vintage goods, digital are
espectacular but rather analogs, my choice

Best regards from Panama
Antonio
