I have searched in this forum, but have not found the answer (too many hits without an answer) but if this has been discussed, please let me know.
Question: Can I connect the grey wire (for front lighting) and yellow wire (rear lighting) from the Marklin decoders 60902/60942 to the same RIGHT side digital bulb to achieve swiss lighting in a Re 460, so that the rear right light comes on when the front 2 lights are also on. Will I burn the decoder? I am still using the Marklin 6021 which works fine for my simple layout.
I am trying to convert my old delta Re 460 to full digital and with swiss lighting for the rear right light.
Thanks so much.

Bill

A few years ago i updated my Re460 Delta lok with a 60760 kit.
As i recall, i reused the board that is already in the lok doing the Swiss light switching.
You have to rewire it however...

Check:
https://wiki.3rail.nl/in..._ESU_magneet_en_Lokpilot

It has the diagram and tells you what to do (use google translate from Dutch to English)

Regards

Jean-Pierre

Thanks Jean-Pierre. This looks interesting and what I need. I will read thru it slowly. The pictures definitely help. Bill L.

Thanks Gregor. There is a lot of information in this thread. We used to have a Radio Shack store where I could talk to the people about diodes, but all these stores have closed. Bill L.

Thanks Jean-Pierre, and Gregor.
Here is an update, very late but not forgotten. I did use the Marklin circuit board Part # 62255 to give me the swiss rear lighting scheme with the right light bulb at the rear to light up.
My mistake in this project was that as I was taking the Re 460 apart, desoldering all the wires, I threw away the circuit board part # 62255. It turns out this circuit board is used in the Re 460 Delta and digital loks from around 2000 - 2010. It is also used in the analog & Delta models of some of the later Ae 6/6 for swiss rear light lighting scheme.
The wiring connections were so easy to do, and I am very happy with the results.
Thank you both again.
Bill L.

I used to be a salesman and manager at Radio Shack. I knew about everything except diodes...
Computers, Audio, Video, Alarm Systems, Cellphones, Batteries, etc...
