Hi All,

I cannot get my two new Trix locomotives to start moving until speed step 13. They are Trix locos - 25903 and 22924. I have a Digitrax dcs210+ and a dt602 handset.

I have set opsw 21,22,23 to t-t-t 128 steps on the dcs210+
I have checked my dt602 throttle options editor, option 20 = 3, I.e. 128 steps

Changing CVs on the locos didn’t make any difference to this start value.
I have changed CV2 and all this does is make the locos move faster as soon as they get to step 13. But still no motion before step 13.

Thoughts?
thanks, Scott

Try to reset your loco CV 8 by write 8 in value. Do your loco reset to standard adress 3? If so your loco decoder seems work. I have heard about that Digitrax digital have problems by use third part digital loco decoder. You should try just one loco and test by use CV 29 to set at value 2. Go to next adress CV 50 and write 0 so you have only DCC protocol to use.

I suspect your problem is related to how the speed table is set up. You should use a program such as JMRIto odwnload the CVs and then you can see the speed table as a graph. This will then show any anomalies in how the speed table is set up.

Did you checked after CV 29 Bit 4 if this are set at value 16?
This are for the set of speed table and must stand 16 always.
Speed table do have adress CV 67-94.
Not sure if this will work for the Trix locomotive.

ESU shows at CV 29 with Bit 4 by choice 0 or 16 in the value.
Value 0 are only for the Loksound 5 DCC and they are for the CV2, 5, 6.
Value 16 are multiprotocol and use CV 67-94.

Be sure to set your loco at only DCC protocol first by use CV 50 and write 0 in the value.

Thanks - I set CV50=0 and that fixed it! BTW I use iTrain, but it only reads in what you tell it to and I don’t have a full set of CVs for Trix MFX decoders to get the CV values. I can’t even find out exactly what decoder I have other than MFX……
