My small locos have problem to start again
after a stop on my isolatet tracks (M84)
I always need to increase speed by hand
Anyone have same problem?
Ideas why or solutions ?

Hi Mille
Many of us are dealing with this but there is a very simple way to fight it.
The issue is caused by corrosion, dust, oil residues and it disappears by magic if you use your trains enough.
Each loco and train must run on each track at least a few hours per week. Then it runs like a charm.
In the mean time, one must clean the tracks (a wooden block cleans and polish the track) and the locos (wheels, sliders, axles) so that a good contact can be maintained.
Cheers
Jean

In the old days, resistors of 1k5 were used to supply some power to "dead" sections to prevent decoder memory loss.
Some decoders forget settings like direction and speed step when they are without power for a longer time.

Which type of decoders do your "problem locos" have?
Maybe resistors can help.

Tom
