If our UK members haven't already picked up on it, there is a two part TV series starting tonight, Saturday 17th Feb, on New Zealand by Train. Narrated by Julie Walters the first episode appears to include most of the South Island scenic railways.
Channel 4, 19:20, also on HD and +1.
Also repeated on Friday on 4Seven at 19:00

And they have swapped episode numbers.

I caught both programmes on terrestial tv here in the UK. The first programme was extremely interesting as it featured the south island and we were recently on the Tranzalpine train from Greymouth to Christchurch.

Hello Alan, indeed this is the Kingston Flyer, but my picture is from 1994. For more information, this is what Wikipedia knows about it. Greetings, Tony
