Hi, I received the loco yesterday from Germany, unpacked it, changed a few light functions, including the cab lights, the loco is all metal, except a few plastic parts, the weight is 570 grams, 24.7cm long, has an inbuild smoke generator, when braking sparks come from the brake shoes. I'm not completely chuffed about this loco, found out it only has 4 powered axles instead of six, not that it would make any difference regarding pulling power., I've chosen the "ONE" designed loco as I have already carriages with "ONE" containers, tried to get more but they've sold out, this was a bit of a dissapointement as the loco is a new construction and release and the container cars came out last year., looks like I have to resource them from somewhere else. The loco drives fine, goes over all my K-track turnouts without any hassle, it also has 2 capacitors, so there is no stopping happening. the inside of the loco is compact and nicely finished, no wires or other bits and pieces which would hinder the housing to be removed., it has 4 screws, undo them and the housing comes off with ease, inside you have 2 loudpeakers, smoke unit, 2 capacitors, top light is connected via spring pins on both sides. The wheel arrangement is as follow: 1 axle with cogwheel without rubber tyre, 1 axle without cogwheel and is spring loaded (not a driving axle), 1 axle with rubber tyres and cogwheel., all three axles have track contacts., forgot to order the smoke fluid at the same time but I'm sure I can buy it within Australia, |
