Hi Anders

I believe, the MFX address cannot be accessed by a CV. Because I need it to enter into Rocrail, I had to do it manually for each loco.
Fortunately, the MFX number does not change most of the time (I use regularly a CS3, CS2, MS2 and its track box an MS1 with its special track).
The only exception is when you register a new MFX loco while the other ones are not on the track (even then it is not that frequent).
Cheers
Jean

Dies Goofy just want to have the CS3 read the decoder and adjust macros? What else can you do? The address is visible in the loco edit setup page. Macros are the next menu to the right.

Why ?, If you want to change settings that way, why not just use the DCC or MM protocol?

and when you are changing settings using mfx and the cs3, most cv's are listed in the left column anyway.

I think you did miss understanding me about information.
What i mean is to have mfx protocol that register loco auto and after that you can have possible to change value via CV adress with mfx protocol.
The reason is that i did test a mfx locomotive with MS2 and i see problem by use CV change that does not show up same possible when you use DCC protocol in the MS2.
So this is what i want to see into future by Märklin:
mfx with CV adress
DCC with CV adress
This is smart way when customer use MS2 and want to program by change value in some CV adress.
