Stadler has received approval for their newest locomotive EURO9000, a Hybrid multi-system locomotive. EURO9000 is a new addition to the EURO family and shares the physical size with other locomotives in the family.
https://www.railvolution...d-in-germany-and-austriahttps://www.railvolution.net/news/euro9000-approved-in-germany-and-austria

The locomotive has a massive 9MW power in electric mode, but it also has two diesels with a total power of 1800 kW (2xCat C32)
the locomotive can also operate on different electric systems:
25 kV AC 50 Hz (9000 kW)
15 kV AC 16.7 Hz (9000 kW)
3 kV DC (6500 kW)
1.5 kV DC (4100 kW)

And a unique feature of this Locomotive is that on "weaker" DC systems, it can use the diesel engines for a boost, giving it 1.9MW additional power. (source ELP)
There is no information on how this is done. Eg if the power from the generators is synced in with the catenary power, or if the generators drive e.g. 2 axles separate from the catenary power.

more information with datasheet and video on this site:
https://www.europeanlocpool.com/en/locomotives/euro9000-locomotives/

The german Wikipedia page has a nice compersion of the different versions: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stadler_Eurodual

For comparison, a single unit IORE has 5400Kw continuous power and 600kn tractive effort (Short boost 5.508 kW and 700 kN). The Chinese HXD3B, based on the IORE, has 9600 kW and 506 kN continuous tractive effort, but that's a pure electric locomotive.

Deutsche Bahn does not have euro9000 (yet?) but they have leased several Euro dual, and the size is identical. So hopefully Mäkrlin will make a model of this locomotive.
Personally, I would take a Märklin model of the Rail force one, or a Eurodual CargoNet model. Cool

Cargonet Eurodual and Euro4000 in double heading. (the EuroDual has a bigger diesel engine vs the Euro900, 1x2800 kW vs 2x900 KW)

This configuration actually makes sense since the locomotives are fairly equal on diesel, and the Eurodual should then be able to haul the train alone on electrified tracks, with its 6.2MW electric power.

Interesting that they used a wheel arrangement previously abandoned because of high rail wear.
