How sync an ESU LokSound 5 Fx decoder with the origin engine decoder

I’m thinking of buying a few LokSound 5 Fx decoders for some bigger engines already having a decent DCC decoder being good runners, but today without sound. The ESU 52810 and 52819 don’t have motor output but are approx. 30 EUR cheaper than the ”normal” ESU LokSound decoders. I’m curious on how a LokSound Fx decoder syncs motor sound with the speed of the DCC decoder already installed in the engine. Do I simply use the same address on both decoders? |

I don't know about the diesel sound decoders but the ESU pre loaded OBB Taurus nightjet decoder leaves much to be desired. I heard a Jaegerndorfer with it. No doreme tones on starting or traction motor speed increases. The owner is disappointed.

It could be that the Fx decoders are being commanded through the SUSI interface. That is how the Marklin plug-in decoders drive the C-Sine motors (early c-Sine units that don't have a plug-in decoder are done differently).
