Another one has failed in under a year. No train output except a very narrow range about 80-90. Accessory output fine. Are these just poor transformers? Is there a better one? Ac analog. 120volt. Thanks

Good question. I have seven and although I haven’t experienced a failure as yet, I wonder if there’s an alternative as well. I saw a video sometime back where someone was using an MTH Z4000 and handheld controller. Seems like a lot of money to drop down if there’s a cheaper alternative… maybe a Lionel CW 80?
